Philip Y.Kang, DDS
Dr. Philip Kang is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Currently, he is serving as a full-time professor and program director of Postgraduate Periodontics at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Prior to Columbia, Dr. Kang also held a faculty position at the University of Pennsylvania in the Department of Periodontics.
He received his dental degree from the University of Michigan and then certificates in AEGD and in Periodontics at Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania, respectively.

Dr. Kang lectures extensively to general dentists and specialists on contemporary Periodontics and dental implantology, nationally and internationally. He is actively involved in multiple research projects involving the latest technologies in periodontal therapy and dental implants including laser treatment, immediate implant placement, bone grafting surgeries, treatment of ailing implants, etc. and has published numerous scientific papers on these topics. Dr. Kang is the recipient of numerous awards for his significant contribution to teaching and dentistry.
Dr. Kang has lived in the greater New York area almost all of his life. He has treated patients for more than 15 years in Fort Lee, New Jersey and also lives in Fort Lee with his wonderful family.
